Bristol School of Art: Arts for Wellbeing - Sustainability and Nature Inspired Art courses

Description:

Bristol School of Art (part of SGS College) are pleased to announce that we are running two low cost courses relating to Nature, Sustainability and Wellbeing. Both course are open for enrolment and start the week after Easter and run for 10 weeks. The courses are subsidised and cost between £75 and £10 depending on your financial situation.

The Art and Nature for Wellbeing course offers a welcoming, relaxed, and supportive environment where students engage in artmaking using a variety of materials and resources found in nature to explore creative techniques to learn new creative skills. By the end of the course, students will have gained a deeper understanding of how nature, art and creativity contribute to well-being, along with enhanced skills, confidence, and greater knowledge of materials, techniques and processes. Running at Lockleaze Hub.

The Exploring Sustainability in Art course offers a welcoming, relaxed, and supportive environment where students can immerse themselves in mindful, creative practices. Designed to enhance well-being through slow, sustainable methods, each week explores a different alternative creative process using recycled and natural materials. Sessions include pottery, working with natural pigments, sewing, cyanotype printing, paper-making, and more. With a strong focus on sustainability, each project fosters a deeper connection to nature and a more sustainable creative journey. By the end of the course, students will have created a unique collection of handmade items, perfect for continuing self-expression and a lasting sense of creative accomplishment. Ideal for anyone seeking a restorative and eco-conscious approach to creativity. Runnig at Centre Space Studios in Bristol City Centre.
